Solar Research Project
Northern Plains Electric Cooperative has a 6.56 kW solar research project at their headquarters facility in Carrington. The research project allows members to learn about the advantages and disadvantages of solar energy to help them determine whether it’s a good fit for their home.
Distributed energy resource (DER) refers to generation units that are located on the consumer’s side of the meter. Those member’s that are considering a cogeneration system such as solar panels, wind turbines, or other generators, please review all the cooperative’s DER documentation before purchasing any equipment.
